Campto belongs to the general group of medicines called antineoplastics. Irinotecan (Campto) is a chemotherapy drug manufactured by Pfizer Limited. Given by injection, Irinotecan (Campto) is used to treat cancers of the colon and rectum (Colorectal cancer).

Irinotecan (Campto) works by blocking an enzyme, called topoisomerase I. Cells need this enzyme to divide and grow. Irinotecan blocks this enzyme so the cancer cells can’t divide.

    Irinotecan 100 Mg may be harmful in pregnancy and there is a potential risk of miscarriage or carrying a child with birth defects if you or your partner becomes pregnant during this time.   This medicine is not indicated for use in women. It is not known if Irinotecan 100 Mg is excreted in human milk.
